You might need to remove the door panels if you want to change
them or access the windows.
Removal Procedure
1. Unscrew the door lock pin
2. Pry out the square plastic tab at the top of the handle
and the one behind the door opening handle.
3. Undo the screws behind the 2 tabs you've just taken out.
4. Carefully pull the trim away from the door, all the way
round the sides and the bottom. The trim is held in place
by plastic clips available from any car parts place - might
be an idea to get some before you start!
5. Pull the top of the door trim away from the window edge.
This is a bit stiff as the clips here are sprung metal. The
trim won't come right off, you just need to unclip it.
6. With all the plastic clips and the metal clips undone,
you can then lift the door trim by the handle, up and out
- there's a good reason for this as you will see later.
7. Undo the cable from the back of the handle to allow you
to take the door trim right off.
Install Procedure
1. Remove the rectangular plastic clip from
the door bracket. You need to compress the metal bits with
a pair of pliers or something to get it off.
2. Slide this plastic bit back onto the metal bracket on the
door trim (behind the armrest/handle bit).
3. Connect the cable to the handle.
4. Line up and put the lock pin rod through the hole on the
top of the trim.
5. Line up the main plastic clip behind the armrest/handle
with the bracket on the door and gently thump the trim home.
6. Then gently thump all the metal clips in along the top,
and then the plastic ones round the edges.
7. Put the screws back and replace the plastic caps.
